An alternative living option for seniors.
A Board and Care Home offers an alternative to independent living and assisted living facilities. These facilities are “regular” houses in residential neighborhoods that are adapted, staffed, and equipped to care for seniors. In other states, they are also known as “group homes” and “residential care homes” but in California, they are commonly known as “board and care homes”.
Services Offered
Services offered in board and care homes are similar to those offered at an assisted living facility, but less than what is offered at a nursing home. This means that while the board and care homes can provide personal care and day-to-day assistance, they don’t offer skilled nursing care.
